Privacy Policy

La Habra Residents Directory collects little information directly. This policy describes search submissions, ordinary technical logs, outside links, California privacy choices, and the boundary between this private reference and public records held by Orange County or California agencies.

Information You Submit

Values entered into a name, phone, or address search are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. The operators of La Habra Residents Directory do not keep a copy of those search terms on their own servers. If you send a message, the mailbox receives what the message contains and uses it to answer the request.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed path, and time stamp. Those ordinary logs are reviewed in aggregate to maintain performance and understand which reference pages receive traffic. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate the reference, diagnose faults, measure general traffic, improve wording, and answer messages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual profiles are not built from ordinary reading activity.

Links Beyond This Reference

Pages link to Orange County property, recorder, court, election, and vital-record services, as well as libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a link is followed, the destination's privacy policy controls what is submitted there. Review that policy before entering personal information.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Hosting and technical providers may process server logs while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not disclosed for unrelated purposes.

Security and Retention

Connections use encryption in transit, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by this reference. No security method is perfect, so avoid sending sensitive information in a message that is not needed to answer the request.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. No personal information is knowingly collected from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, use the Contact page and request its removal from the contact mailbox and available logs.

California Privacy Choices

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears at Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. Depending on coverage and applicable exceptions, California residents may have rights to know, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and avoid discrimination for exercising a right. Global Privacy Control can communicate an opt-out preference where applicable.

Because little personal data is kept here, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by California, Orange County, or La Habra offices are outside this reference's control and are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq. A removal request for a deed, case, voter record, or vital record belongs with its custodian. California's DROP platform is a separate state route for eligible data-broker deletion requests.

Updates to This Policy

A revised version will be posted at this address when the practices or legal notices change. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
