Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using La Habra Residents Directory. Accessing or reading the pages means the terms are accepted. Do not use the reference if you do not agree with them.

1. What This Reference Is

La Habra Residents Directory is a private reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections related to La Habra, Orange County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any city, county, state, federal, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the pages only for lawful personal, family-history, research, or civic purposes. You may not use the reference or anything found through it to:

  • stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person;
  • locate someone who is protected by a restraining or protective order;
  • commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act;
  • make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions;
  • scrape, republish, or copy the pages at scale; or
  • interfere with the reference's operation, security, or availability.

3. No Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither the text here nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.

4. External Portals and Services

County and state portals, libraries, archives, sponsored search tools, and other linked services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. La Habra Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, fees, security, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a record description is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will remain online, accept a request, or return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the reference or an outside resource, including an action taken after viewing a record.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Original Material

The original wording, layout, design, logo, and arrangement are protected by copyright. A link and a brief attributed quotation are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.

9. Changes to These Terms

New terms may be posted at this address. Continued use after a change means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms, abuses the reference, or threatens its operation. Restriction may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without applying conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., including the determination and extension rules in §7922.535. California consumer-privacy rights may also arise under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., when a covered business relationship exists.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
